"RAIN OUT"

A hundred degrees in the forecast
It's gonna be a hot one says the weather man
My baby, he tells the sun hello
As he puts on his hard hat, and steps out on the ROW

Well the kids are up and at 'em by eight
And I'm makin' their breakfast on miniature range
It’s laundry mat day and that’s become our hang out spot
Yeah we’re all a little stir crazy here at the camper lot

Well it's days like today
That I wish it would pour down
And his boss man would say
Hey ya’ll go on to the house
There may not be a tin roof
On this here RV
But I'd be happy with a rain out
And my man here next to me

Our family may be a little different than most
It’s not a vacation that takes us coast to coast
Now we spend some of our greatest times
When it's comin up a cloud and that sun don't wanna shine

Oh some people hate dreary weather
But for me there just ain’t nothin better

"GOD BLESS THE PIPELINER'S WIFE"

At the end of the day, when the bread has been won
She never knows where he'll go, and a layoff's no fun
Muddy water fills up the washing machine
And she wonders what the next call will bring

God bless the pipeliner's wife
She never asked to live this crazy life
They say he lays miles by day
And she lays lonely at night
God bless the Pipeliner's wife

The kids always ask, "When is Daddy coming back?"
But she knows there's a fine line between hope and facts
One month turns to three and she tries to stay tough
Like the man that she married; for the family she loves

God bless the pipeliner's wife
She never asked to live this crazy life
They say he lays miles by day
And she lays lonely at night
God bless the Pipeliner's wife

When her head hits the pillow, she silently prays
God keep him safe, and out of harms way
